Larita Triplett up in this piece. This photo was taken in December 2009 during our dear Hexmurda’s benefit show at St. Andrew’s Hall in the heart of Detroit. Miss Trips is another fashion subject I frequently document. She is also one of my Foundation sisters & was one of the hosts for FUNKintheTRUNK this past spring.
Last year, the pinned fabric bouquet was LaLa’s signature look around these parts.. & yes, she does the floral arrangements herself. I find this outfit to be a prime example of “simple chic.” The layered basic pieces, flat colors, few yet bold accents. I admire bright colors in the wintertime, neutralizing it by mixing up with dark tones. It was a good call to throw on that grey fedora, it balances the black with the rest of the color scheme. Trip out.
