risismTV: ADIDAS Y-3 F/W 2010
September 7, 2010
“Presented on Sunday 14th February 2010, as part of New York Fashion Week, the Y-3 show sought an escapist route to the future of sport style. Armed with tongue-in-cheek humor, splashes of bright color, and intriguing aesthetic contrasts, the label’s Autumn/Winter 2010-11 collection brought a healthy dose of fun back to the runway. The collection also captured a playful yet serene mood with an industrial laser light show by the British art collective, UVA, and a soundtrack of folk tunes by Simon & Garfunkel.”
BASE CONTROL F/W 2010 LOOKBOOK
September 7, 2010

Base Control‘s Fall/Winter collection is full of layering, patterns, & even some vibrancy suitable enough for men. Plaid is pretty much automatic when the autumn season hits, but I think the goal is now to go from last year’s buffalo plaid over-kill, to finding innovative plaid-pattern combinations. Check the rest of the looks, as you’ll find funky cardigans, buttons downs, vests, & M-65 jackets:
THREEASFOUR F/W 2010 LOOKBOOK
September 7, 2010

Presenting the threeASFOUR Fall/Winter 2010 lookbook. The avant garde label has taken their latest collection into a scientific direction. I say that because designer trio, Gaby, Adi & Ange, has dubbed this collection, “Alchemy,” “the branch of science that pre-dates chemistry” as Vogue likes to describe it, “& is defined in the dictionary as something that has ‘a transforming or enchanting power.’” The collection was wittingly inspired by the seven metals of alchemy; gold, silver, copper, iron, tin, mercury, & lead. With its swooping formations, curling weaving & whimsical draping, the collection certainly seems to be transmuting into some sort of energy.
