Elzhi’s Elmatic is a tribute record to the classic Nas debut, Illmatic, & features the talent of Detroit’s own Will Sessions on live instruments, DJ Dez on wax, Amp Fiddler on keys, & rapper Royce Da 5’9″! MTA8: Bgirl Ma-Ma vs. Bgirl Maresco

My homegirl, Bgirl Ma-Ma of Hardcore Detroit breaking crew (in black hijab), came through for her exhibition battle against Bgirl Maresco from Virginia (in teal beanie). The event took place at the University of Michigan for Master the Art 8 (MTA8) on Saturday, March 12th, where both ladies ripped it on the floor as they displayed their skills and musicality in a featured exhibition battle. Maresco kicks it off properly: rockin’ the beat up & down, going in for the kill, giving us a full-length set. Ma-Ma was on complete battle mode, unleashing each round with full ammunition, she responded to Maresco with corresponding floor tricks & beat hitting.. & then some. The doc is to be released online on February 7, 2011 at The J Dilla Project & features rare footage of the legend himself, friends, fam, & musical colleagues of the same league. Turn it up louder!
