Fashion darlings in their own right, characterized by their signature Creative D.I.Y-style wardrobe which is a wonderful blend of their own up-and-coming lines Bitchley Bizness & Downtown 81. As established designers, they have truly mastered the interactive fashion, music and art scene.
Expect to dance to indie rock, electronica, up tempo R & B, & whatever else inspires them for the evening.

DAILY GRIND: CASSETTO

Ms. Margaret Cassetto is one of my favorite nonchalant fashion subjects in Detroit. This day was The Foundation‘s 1 year anniversary on May 4th 2010, & she came to celebrate with us in actually a more modest look. I shan’t reveal the secret of her top, but let’s just say, dig deeper into your closet.

As a current resident of the Detroit area, home of Jay Dee, I am blessed to experience Dilla Day here everyday. His soul truly lives on.
The Foundation @5eGallery is proud to present a celebration for J Dilla & his mother, Ma Dukes; for, without MaDukes Yancey, there would be no James Yancey. Therefore, Ma Dukes is The Foundation.
Her undeniable support & struggle will not go unrecognized. We raise it up for Ma Dukes for finally winning rights of her son’s estate, after a long battle with his label. We also welcome the comeback of The J Dilla Foundation, which benefits music programs.
